The Semester
How it runs
Apply
Students apply through the member application. Companies apply separately to be matched with a pod.
Build
Meet your pod and the founders, then agree on deliverables for the semester.
Network
Convergent's alumni and partners are available to help the pod and the company.
Showcase
Present the semester's progress to founders, partners, and the wider org at the Forge Showcase.
For companies
Hand a project to a student pod
Each semester we match a handful of startups and nonprofits with a Forge pod. You get a team for four months; they get to work on something with real users.
What you get
A dedicated pod of engineers, designers, and product students for a full semester, scoped to deliverables you define.
What we ask
A founder or team lead who can meet weekly, give feedback, and treat the pod like part of the team.
How to start
Email partnerships@txconvergent.org or use the contact form. We scope pods before each semester begins.
Recruitment
Ready for Forge?
Forge applications run alongside general recruitment each semester. Prior building experience expected.
